Hello everybody, I hope you are having an incredible day today. Today, we’re going to make a distinctive dish, roti jala. One of my favorites. For mine, I will make it a bit unique. This will be really delicious.

A savory crepe typically eaten alongside a fragrant Malaysian chicken curry, roti jala is Malay for "net bread," referring to the bread's delicate lace-like design. Roti Jala is the lesser known and more elusive cousin of the famed Roti Canai. In Malaysia, you are more likely to eat these net crepes at a social gathering than in a restaurant. It is especially popular during Hari Raya Aidil Fitri (Eid) and traditional kenduri (Malay feast) to mark auspicious events like weddings.

Roti Jala is one of the most favored of recent trending foods on earth. It’s easy, it is quick, it tastes delicious. It’s appreciated by millions daily. Roti Jala is something which I have loved my whole life. They are nice and they look wonderful.

To get started with this recipe, we must first prepare a few ingredients. You can cook roti jala using 5 ingredients and 4 steps. Here is how you cook that.

Roti Jala, literally meaning "Net Bread", is a popular Malay tea time snack served with curry dishes which can be found in Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore. The roti jala is a pretty dish that looks like a lace doily due to the way it is made. Roti jala is a quintessentially Malaysian dish - a combination of Malay and Indian influences, it is a wonderful example of the fusion of cultures that is uniquely Malaysian. Roti canai is probably Malaysia's more famous roti, but the lacy, crepe-like pancakes known as roti jala are even prettier—and much simpler to make.

Instructions to make Roti Jala:
  1. Put all the ingredients in a bowl and mix them well with the help of a manual whisk. Stand it for around 15 minutes
  2. As a manual dispenser for the dough, take a water bottle (plastic) and put it inside. In addition, make three little holes to the cap with the help of a pick
  3. Put a nonstick pan over high heat and varnish (with a cooking pencil) it with vegetal oil. When it is hot enough, put the dough in a circular way, so the crepes will have small holes when cooked. Leave them a few minutes and withdraw
  4. While still hot roll them, first on the wide side and then on the narrow one, making rolls. Serve them preferably with curry or other Malaysian sauce and enjoy them!!
