  6. Prepare 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  7. Get 2 tsp Garam masala
  8. Prepare 1 cup desiccated coconut
  9. Get 1/4 cup ginger paste
  10. Make ready 4 tbsp sugar
  11. Make ready Dough
  12. Take 3 cup flour
  13. Get 3/4 cup oil
  14. Take Salt as per taste
  15. Take Water as per required

  1. Soak the yellow split gram overnight. For 7/8 hours.
  2. Place a steamer pot on heat and bring the water to a rolling boil.
  3. Grease the steamer attachment plate, then add the yellow split gram and potatoes and place it on the greased steamer plate.
  4. Take a deep bowl. Mash the yellow split gram and potatoes a bit.
  5. In the mixture add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, Garam masala, salt, desiccated coconut, ginger paste, lime juice, raisins and sugar. And mix well. And make 24 round balls.
  6. Take a deep plate, add wheat flour,salt to taste and oil. Mix well use water to knead a soft dough. Cover the dough and keep it aside for 15 to 20 minutes.
  7. Divide the dough into 24 portions. And make a ball.
  8. Roll out the ball into small roti. The roti should be equal by all edges.
  9. Put a portion of filling in the centre.
  10. Bring the sides together in the centre and seal the edges on top.
  11. Repeat the steps again to make 28 kachori's.
  12. Cover all the prepared kachori in a damp cloth and keep aside till you heat the oil. Now slid them gently into the oil. The oil should not be very hot nor should be cold. Fry them at low to low-medium flame. You can also fry them at medium flame.
  13. Fry till they become golden brown and becomes crispy.
