  4. While the lentils are cooking, boil the potatoes until soft, drain, mash and add the garlic oil, some salt and ground white pepper and mash until smooth.
  5. Heat the grill to high.
  6. Season the lentils with salt to your taste. - - Remove the Bay leaf. - Pile the lentils into a small / medium casserole and cover with the garlic mash. - - Sprinkle with the cheese and heat under the grill until bubbling and browned.
