- Sift flour, baking powder and salt together, set aside. In large mixing bowl cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time. Beat in vanilla. Gradually beat in flour mixture until combined.
- Cover dough and chill for 2 hours.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease cookie sheets. On a clean, floured surface roll out small portions of chilled dough til 1/4” thick. Cut out shapes using cookie cutters. Bake 8-10 minutes (you know they’re ready when the center doesn’t look “wet” anymore). Cool on wire racks.
