  1. Take 1/2 Cup softened Unsalted Butter
  2. Prepare 120 g Condensed Milk Room Temperature
  3. Take 1 1/2 Cups Plain Flour
  4. Prepare 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  5. Prepare Pinch Salt
  6. Get 1 Teaspoon Food Colouring of your choice
Instructions to make Christmas Sugar Cookies:
  1. Whisk the condensed milk, butter, vanilla and salt together until homogeneous.
  2. Fold in the flour in batches until a dough is formed.
  3. Split the dough in half and place in separate bowls. Put food colouring into one bowl and mix in.
  4. Cover both with cling film and place in the fridge for 1 hour to firm up.
  5. Preheat the oven to 180°C and place parchment paper on a baking tray.
  6. Place one dough on a well floured work surface and roll the dough flat. Use cookie cutters of your choice to make shapes and then place the cookies on the baking tray.
  7. Bake for 5-10 minutes depending on size. You will know they are cooked when they have turned slightly golden on the edges. I tested baking half of the batch in the air fryer and it took around 5 minutes.
  8. Rinse and repeat for the second dough. Make sure to bake in batches and leave room between each cookie on the baking tray.
  9. Transfer onto a wire rack and let them cool completely. Leave plain or decorate with royal icing/ dust with icing sugar (optional). We had ours with some hot chocolate and marshmallows 😋
